Never sure what to expect when I start on a show working with new people, but right out of the gate, this was a blast. It was fun to be able to invent wild fantasy versions of Kamala's exploits and plans, to only have them go so wrong in reality. Adil and Bilall were intent on bringing the most vibrant imagery to screen, and I'm glad I got to be a part of it. A lot of this work is very fast and loose. I generally start out that way, but onceI learned that there wasn't time for me to go back and rework loose stuff, I had to start developing a loose, fast style that still looked good and was easily readable. As you go through them, you can see that develop.
